Guide Rails – The Difference

Artek’s specialized crimping process also locks the Duravar® UHMW-PE Guide Rail Shape tightly in place to reduce the linear shrinkage problems experienced by competitive UHMW Profile Shapes in the Stainless Steel Sheaves. This specialized crimping process also creates a stronger lock between the Duravar® UHMW-PE Guide Rail Shape and the 14 Gauge Stainless Steel Sheave minimizing the gapping and perking that occurs on competitive rails when they are formed into curved shapes.

Artek offers a multitude of Duravar® UHMW-PE Chain Guides with mating Aluminum, Galvanized, and Stainless Steel Channels to fit most conveying applications. These custom design and standard profile shapes are made from food grade Duravar® UHMW-PE and material that provides high abrasion, low coefficient of friction, high impact resistance, and excellent chemical resistance. These unique characteristics help conveying systems operate with minimal wear and extended life. Duravar-UHMW Wear Shoes are available in Virgin Natural, Virgin Color, and Reprocessed Blends to meet application needs. Artek produces Standard Carrying Wear Shoes, Lugged Return Wear Shoes, and Wear Shoe Inserts to desired length specifications, in 1/2" and/or 3/4" thickness' to handle even the most extreme application conditions.

Carrier & Return Wear Shoes

Duravar-UHMW Wear Strips are produced in Virgin Natural -or- Color Formulations, and/or in Reprocessed Blends to meet specific requirements. Artek produces each Wear Strip to desired specifications in standard thickness' of 3/8" or 1/2" in varying widths and lengths, as required by each application.
